Groupon Users
We recently ran two Groupon Offers, one for dine-in and one for catering.
The $10 for $20 Groupon can be used any day for dine-in or take out at the restaurant. It can not be used with catering orders, delivery orders or online orders.
The $25 for $50 catering Groupon is good only for catering orders from our catering menu. This menu is for events not at our restaurant. The catering Groupon is not valid for dine-in at the restaurant.
Thank you!

Technically, my father's birthday is today. This is the day he was born. His legal birthday is Monday. I assume there was a mudslide or something that kept them from getting to town sooner to register his birth. Since he was born on St. Joseph's Day -- March 19 -- he was given the patron saint's name. From what I've read, back in the day southern Italians prayed to St. Joseph to save them from a famine. I guess St. Joseph did that with an abundant crop of fava beans so now they hold a feast in his honor. There is a special pastry you eat on St. Joseph's Day, Sfinge de San Giuseppe. It's basically a tasty doughnut with ricotta cheese filling. I have a photo of my father blowing out birthday candles and there is a plate of sfinge in the photo. I don't know why it's good luck to tug an ear, but we always did it to my father. It'sa tradition.

Happy birthday Grandpa. I LOVE YOU <333
That's awesome. My father's name is Joseph, but I didn't know all those things about St. Joseph's Day. Does Parmesans serve sfinge?
Since round 1976 zeppole has been part of my specialties. It is a version of sfinge that is from the Calabria region of Italy. This light and fluffy fresh fried donut is made with a ton of powdered sugar or with cinamon sugar. Recently at Parmesans I have been trying the Crispy Creme icing version. This fried dough is made on Christmas Eve and served in a different way with the fried fish. We stuff it with anchovy filet. yuck or yum the zeppole/sfinge is here to stay. The Chef
